Littleton ESD Preschools

Our preschool is designed to support the needs of preschool children with disabilities. As part of our inclusive approach to learning, we offer the opportunity for typically developing preschoolers to participate as well. Our teachers and staff provide quality, developmentally appropriate early learning experiences for all children.

Peer Models

Littleton offers one preschool program for peers. Our preschool partners program is a three-hour program for children three years of age as of September 1 of each school year. For us to consider a child as a peer model for our preschool program, your child must meet the age requirements for our partners program, be fully toilet trained, and have appropriate communication and social skills. If you would like our district to consider your child for a peer model in our partners program, there are two ways to apply. We offer monthly tuition and scholarship opportunities for your child. There are scholarships available through First Things First scholarship program. Please be aware that financial qualification guidelines apply.

Applications for peer models (tuition pay or scholarship) are available in the Exceptional Student Services at the district office. Please note that peer model preschool slots are very limited and each year we have more applications than available slots for children. If your child does not get a spot for the upcoming school year, we will place his or her name on the wait list. If a spot becomes available throughout the year, we will contact you.

If your child is currently a peer model, you must re-apply each year that your child is still age-eligible for preschool. Participation in the current year does not guarantee a spot for the upcoming school year.

If you have any questions about the preschool peer model application process please contact Ann Catlin at 623-478-5719. If you have concerns about your preschooler’s development and are interested in participating in a screening for suspected disabilities, please contact Cleo Reyes at 623-478-5782.
