Volunteering at Littleton Elementary

We know that “kids succeed when they have meaningful and sustainable relationships with caring adults” (Kids at Hope, Universal Truth). We want to encourage those relationships and love to see parents and interested community members volunteering in our schools. We encourage you to get first-hand knowledge of what we do and invest in the children that will become our next generation of parents, business people, and leaders.

Ways to help

If you are interested in volunteering in one of our schools, you are most welcome! However, in order to ensure the safety of our students, we ask that all volunteers follow our set process: First complete and return the volunteer application, which includes a background information request. A member of our staff will contact you; you may be asked to provide additional information and prep for a fingerprint card. As soon as your application is approved, our volunteer coordinator will be in touch with you. You may volunteer in these and a variety of other ways:

  • In the classroom
  • As a field trip/dance supervisor
  • Special speakers
  • On committees
  • In the teacher workroom
  • Through PTA
  • At home with special projects or technology assistance
  • In the school office
  • At athletic events
  • During book fairs
  • In the library or lunch room

We look forward to seeing you!

PTA

Our PTA chapter is a great way to get involved in your child’s school. With meetings every month, PTA mobilizes more parent volunteers than any other source in the nation! Our PTA groups are responsible for fundraising, community outreaches, family nights, and field trips. We appreciate their efforts to enrich the education of our students with extra-curricular activities, and we encourage you to contact your school for more information.
