Mission Statement
We believe that every child deserves to be taught in a safe, nurturing and motivating environment that focuses on academics. Every child deserves to go to a school where they are well known by all of the adults in the building, where they get individual attention, and where every teacher is dedicated to discovering and developing each student’s potential.
We also believe that every parent has the right and the responsibility to be involved in a child’s education. We are dedicated to having parents be positive, active participants in the way our school is organized and run and to help parents reinforce what their children learn during the school day.
At Collier Elementary School, we will provide standards-based curriculum and learning experiences that connect to authentic situations in the real world. We will teach children to learn to read, write, speak articulately, compute, problem solve, love the arts, be fit and healthy, and develop habits of persistence and self-directedness in order to become contributing members of their community and stewards of the environment.
