Long Term Technology

The Technology Department supports a large, wired and wireless network, where data, voice, security, EMS, audio, and video are coming together for central manageability. As a growing district, we are challenged to expand our network with careful planning and the coordination of funds to ensure our network can meet the demands of increased traffic and staff.

To that end we have created a long-term technology plan to help us effectively meet the needs of our growing district within a limited budget. Staffed entirely by volunteers, our technology committee oversees the development and implementation of the technology plan and makes revisions to it as necessitated by budget changes. The committee reviews hardware and software options and makes recommendations for expenditures. Staff, students, and parents are welcome to attend our monthly meetings. We currently meet on the third Wednesday of each month in the Underdown Learning Center.

Our Mission and Vision

The Littleton School District Technology Department provides the necessary resources and training to ensure that staff, students, and community members can successfully use technology to enhance their educational opportunities, their career goals, and their personal lives. We want to foster skilled, knowledgeable, and independent learners through the use of rich technological environments that are aligned with district and state standards and which supports our curriculum and instruction.

We do our best to respond to each ticket within 24 hours. You can log in to our system at any time to check on the status of your ticket. Be careful not to add duplicate requests.

Student Access

We make computers with network access, including Internet access, available to students throughout our district. In providing this service, our goal is to promote instruction and learning. We have taken precautions to restrict access to controversial materials; however, on a shared network it is impossible to control everything that comes over the air waves. To keep kids safe, we require that users:

  • support educational objectives when on district computers/networks.
  • do not submit, publish, or retrieve any abusive, obscene, profane, or illegal material.
  • abide by copyright and trademark laws.
  • do not reveal home addresses, phone numbers, or personal identification while online.
  • understand that electronic communication is not private and may be read/monitored.
  • do not download unauthorized programs/games to school computers.
  • do not attempt to interfere with system security.
