COVID-19 Updates

Community Update - March 30, 2020

We thank you for your support and patience as we have made the transition to remote learning during this unprecedented school closure. At this time, it appears we will have to continue on this path as this morning Governor Doug Ducey and Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman, announced they are extending the closures of schools for the rest of the school year. Please see our March 30 letter for details.

Updates and suggestions for parents

Recently, Expect More AZ published a letter to parents in both English and Spanish, written by Beth Hutchins Maloney, former Teacher of the Year. This letter updates and gives suggestions for parents during this challenging time.

Mark your calendars! Our first work packet pick-up is this Monday, March 30. All schools will be offering two pick-up times. The times are 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. (during food distribution). The pick-up location is in front of all of the schools. Littleton teachers miss, love, and care about their students! Please see the LESD first packet pick up document.

Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

Attention, Littleton families! We want you to know that Littleton Elementary School District is working to help limit the spread of infection by consistently supplying schools with soap, sanitizers, paper towels, and tissues in our facilities. We have a routine cleaning schedule for all of our campuses because we care about the environment of our students and staff. We also take extra measures prescribed by the Maricopa Department of Public Health when there is any evidence of something that might be community-spread. Currently, there is no confirmed community spread of COVID-19. People should take all of the precautions they might take during any flu season such as good hand-washing, covering a cough, and wiping common area surfaces. Please see the letters below for more information.
