Dr. Louis Laffitte Jr.

Dr. Louis Laffitte Jr. is an accomplished educator and school-system leader with more than three decades of experience in education. Beginning his career as a teacher, he developed a firsthand understanding of the relationships, instruction, and support students need to thrive. His career later expanded into leadership roles as a principal, director, adjunct professor, assistant superintendent, and superintendent, giving him a broad perspective on classroom learning, school leadership, educator development, and districtwide improvement.

Dr. Laffitte currently serves as Superintendent of the Littleton Elementary School District. In this role, he leads the district’s efforts to strengthen teaching and learning, support student and staff well-being, cultivate effective schools, and deepen partnerships with families and the community. His collaborative leadership reflects a sustained dedication to bringing people together around a shared vision and building an educational community that creates lasting opportunities for every student’s success.

Education and Leadership

Dr. Laffitte holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Arizona and a doctorate from Pepperdine University. His academic preparation, combined with his experience across teaching, higher education, school administration, and district leadership, informs a collaborative and service-oriented approach to education. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to building and growing educational communities that invest in people, respond to student needs, and create a strong foundation for lasting student success.
